Notation examples in GBT were created in Finale. Finale Reader is a free download that lets you hear the written examples. GBT includes a link to the free Finale download. Download the Finale files (currently links to old GBT site) and you can hear the written music. Watching the cursor follow the music while listening to it helps immensely with developing reading skills. Reading music is different than playing written music — with GBT + Finale you enhance reading skills without having to play the instrument.
